Homeward bound

Not much to say. Or rather a lot but I'm hungover and on my way to the airport. Have one of those weird connections, Going from Nice to Oslo and then Stockholm. Completely not logic, but cheap. Uploading some stuff on Flickr, no time to tag or comment though. Doing it tomorrow. Promise. Looking forward to Anders gory indian flicks.  Wonder how they motivate singing and dancing in a horror?

Big kiss Henk

Tuesday

Final day in Cannes with about six meetings scheduled. So far I haven’t seen a single film which bugs me but we’ve made some really cool contacts and that was the point with coming. Another thing that bugs me is that the wifi zones were so unreliable. I haven’t been able to upload a single videoblog yet. Not very 2009. Apparently the whole city is drained from bandwidth during the festival. Our lovely supporter Bredbandsbolaget should get some fibers down hereWink

There’s a lot of horror movies in release right now with fantastic taglines such as “when the lights go out, the feeding begins”(don't remember which film, anyone?), “blood is sicker than water” or more to the point “everyone bleeds”. (Can't find a link anywhere for this, but they have great big ads... could they be so oldschool as to ignore the web? Weird) When I get home and tell you more about our story and its heroes we should definitely have a tagline contest of some sort. That should be a lot of fun.

But Cannes is almost over where did it all go?  Basically we’ve just got from meetings to lunch to meetings and then the 1730 daily Happy Hour @ the Scandinavian Pavilion to dinner and then to someone’s party. Great fun, a lot of good friends and people that can support us now or in the future. Everyone is really interested in what we’re up to and I’m longing to get home and put all this energy to good use. Lots of ideas I’d like to tell you about but it’ll have to wait til Thursday when I’m home again. Big Riviera-hugs from Henrik & Per

This sucks so hard!!

When I finally found both time and wifi and had finished a long blog entry Safari crashed on me, erasing everything. Leaving me without both time and a juicy blogentry...Seems often silly when us nonamericans curse in english but... Fuck!

I gotta go pick producerper up from the airport. We're getting interviewed today by Fredrik Zillén from Filmnyheterna. Kinda nervous actually, first interview on this project and I haven't entered interview-mode yet. I'm bound to say something weird.

Talk to y'all soon. Big hugs from a angry, safarihating Henrik

Nazi Fins

Just met with our loveley friends over at Iron Sky and Wreckamovie. They are so cool and their thinking about the future of filmmaking and distribution is spot on. You should immediately go to their website and buy warbonds! They also had a great tips for us that I'm gonna check out called indiegogo seems really useful tool right up our alley.

From the left Me of course, Essi Suomela, Director Timo Vuorensola and Samuli Torssonen

They are both futuristic and backwards at the same time. Their last film was first made for free and then earned money, first free on youtube and then got dvd-distribution deals. I'd really like to write more about them and their previous works but the only place I found Wifi at was a restaurant and they are glaring at me for just ordering coffee.

Man those guys really got their glaring down. I feel greatly unwelcome. Talk to you soon. H

Countdown

Working hard to get everything finished for our launch in a few days. Anders and I have made some short videos explaining the project a bit. Linus & Carl-Johan have been busy drawing for the animated storyboard, it's gonna be great let me tell you. I'm so looking forward to sound editing. Also I've found an eerie interview with a schizophrenic, it's really spooky and I think I'm gonna try to make it even scarier with a little remix. I should be able to get this up in about two weeks time.

But first I've gotta get the first Anders&henrik presentation done. It shouldn't be too hard but I'm seriously lacking experience in After Effects. It's been a few years since I last worked in AE and on top of things it has change quite a bit. All for the better though I might add, already I'm quite fond of some new features. Maybe we can have a discussion on AE-topics later on. I hope to get the presentation up today or tomorrow.

Also I've got to find the ol' suitcase. O yes,  almost forgot to tell you (not) Per and I are taking the Pact to Cannes! Basically we're going to meet and talk to as many industry people as possible, just letting them know that we're up and running to get them interested in us. Later on if all our schemes have gone as planned, we can call them up and say "hey, remember us guys from Cannes?"

But of course we want to see some horrorfilms in Cannes aswell. We have some friends over at Zentropa but Antichrist seems a bit hard to get tickets to.

I reaally gotta go. Talk to you soon though. If your in Cannes please let us know!

Cheers H
