Why me?

Now. I've got a title in this project; Communications Director.

Corny, you say? Well, my darling Clarice. When all this is said and done, you will stand corrected. I tell you it's my job to make sure this flick gets its fair share of web traffic, you see. Now that might not sound so hard. But imagine deliver on this without an actual movie to do PR around.

Because that is my day job, doing PR for stuff. I'm really good at it too. I've managed to engage millions of people on the web - only in small, small Sweden. I manage the biggest private PR blog in the nation and I've founded the largest community for our profession on the web - PR of Sweden.

I'm also the leading expert in driving micro opinions in the political webscape and I have played a significant role in both the emerging Swedish pirate movement as well as being part of the Swedish Twitterati. The world is watching closely, and I'm in the middle of it, moving things around.

Five years of university studies in strategic communications, rethoric and business - I've sure been putting it all to good work. My hobbies besides evil films? PHP and SEO. So, am I 1337? Hell yes.

Still, the only sane thing for a young succesful PR professional as myself would be to solely focus on serious clients whith actual money. Not focus on a project where epic fail is default mode everywhere below the critical mass of web traffic. So why do it, why take on such a responsibility?

There are several reasons, actually. But mainly, I can't say no to a challenge. It sounds like a cheesy job-interview-sort-of-thing to say, I  know. But, as you probably already have figured out: my ego is just that big. I actually think that I can gather the horror fans on the web and unleash their combined creativity - and by doing that also enabling the creation of the scariest horror film of all time.

In short, I think I'm the right guy for the job.

So, I guess that was the leastest thing Henrik and Anders could do - to give me a nice title!

Now, stay tuned and I promise to redefine what horror movie PR is all about. Please interact with me or - if you are so inclined - just watch.
