Quite importantly the site now features a social bookmarking function. There's been a range of services to choose from: Add this, Add to any, Share this, Tell a friend and other permutations. Anyway, the benefits they all have in common is to allow users to spread the word on content that we put up, one-to-one or one-to-many using their own social networks and whatever means of communication are in their comfort zone. The important thing is that they can do this instantly and without leaving the site.
Currently we're evaluating the Add to any service, as one of it's interesting points of differentiation is that where other services require an account and are mining our usage data and having us use their statistics analysis services, Add to any instead automagically glues up with an existing installation of Google Analytics.

Cool...
...but I can't find the functionality. Maybe I misunderstood that something was already in place?
Eh...
...sorry about that, forgot to flip the switch for regular users. Let's move on to the question of why it's so friggin ugly.
